Terms of Use
Last updated: October 26, 2026
PoofMail is a free service for creating temporary email addresses. By using it, you agree to the terms on this page. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Nature of the service
The service is provided as is, without warranties. Addresses and messages are temporary and are automatically deleted. We do not guarantee continuous availability or successful delivery, and are not responsible for lost messages, lost account access, or losses arising from use of the service.
We may change, restrict, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice.
Prohibited activities
Temporary addresses support ordinary one-time tasks, but must not be used for:
- Fraud, identity theft, or impersonating another person.
- Harassment, threats, or other activities that harm others.
- Creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions, free trials, giveaways, or voting systems.
- Registering with services that explicitly prohibit disposable email.
- Overloading, damaging, or disrupting this server, including automated bulk address creation.
- Activities that violate applicable law in your jurisdiction.
We may block access without warning when we detect such use.
Important limitations
Inbox access depends on a session token stored in your browser. Sharing that token or browser session can expose the messages. Messages are not encrypted at rest, and the service is not designed for confidential information.
Do not use temporary addresses for banking, government services, medical records, legal matters, work accounts, or anything you need for future account recovery. Once an address expires, access is permanently lost and we cannot restore it.
PoofMail is receive-only. You cannot send or reply to email from an inbox.
Reporting abuse
If someone uses PoofMail to harm you or violate these terms, report it through the Contact page. Include the address involved and the time of the incident. Because messages expire quickly, the relevant data may already have been deleted when we receive a report.

Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service develops. Continuing to use the service after changes are published means you accept the current version.
