Here are answers to common questions about temporary email and PoofMail.

Is PoofMail free?

Yes. You can create and use an inbox without payment details.

Do I need an account?

No. The page generates an address automatically. Your active inbox is associated with the session token stored in this browser rather than a registered user account.

Can I use it more than once?

You can receive messages while the inbox is active and create a new address when needed. A deleted or expired address cannot be recovered or reused on request.

What happens if I close the page?

The server keeps the inbox until deletion or expiry. Returning with the same browser storage normally restores it while it is still active. Another browser or cleared site data will not have the same session token.

Can I reply to a message?

No. PoofMail is receive-only. Use a permanent email account for two-way conversations.

Do all websites accept temporary email?

No. Some websites reject disposable domains because they need lasting contact details or want to prevent abuse. Follow their requirements.

Should I use it for a bank's verification code?

No. Use an address you control long term for financial accounts, sensitive information, and account recovery.

Does temporary email override a website's rules?

No. Read and follow the site's terms. Using a disposable address does not authorize duplicate accounts, repeated claims, impersonation, or prohibited activity. Legal requirements also depend on the context and jurisdiction.

How long does a PoofMail inbox last?

It starts with one hour. While active, Add 1 hour resets its remaining time to one hour, up to three times. Delete inbox requests immediate deletion. Clearing browser data removes local access without necessarily removing the inbox from the server immediately.

Do I need an app?

No. Address creation and reading messages work in the browser.
