How to Use PoofMail: A Step-by-Step Guide
PoofMail works directly in your browser. You do not need an account or a separate email application.
Step 1: Open PoofMail
Visit the homepage. A random email address is created automatically. If this browser already has an active inbox, PoofMail restores that session instead.
Step 2: Copy your address
Use the copy button beside the address. If your browser blocks clipboard access, select the address and copy it manually.
Step 3: Use it where permitted
Paste the address into a registration, download, or verification form that accepts temporary email. Complete the website's normal process. Do not use it to bypass a site's requirements or registration limits.
Step 4: Return to the inbox
Keep the PoofMail tab open while waiting. Messages appear automatically after they arrive. Delivery also depends on the sending service, so it may not be immediate.
Step 5: Read the message
Select a message to open its full content. If a likely numeric verification code is detected, PoofMail highlights it and offers Copy code. Check the sender's message to confirm which code or link to use.
Step 6: Finish or add time
The inbox starts with one hour. Add 1 hour resets the remaining time to one hour while the inbox is active, up to three times. Once it expires, the address and its messages cannot be recovered.
Need another address?
Choose New address to generate a different inbox. Refreshing the page normally keeps your current active inbox; it does not intentionally generate a new one. Choose Delete inbox when you want to remove the current inbox from the server. Clearing browser data only removes your local access, while the old server inbox can remain until expiry.
Troubleshooting
If a message is delayed, check that the complete address was pasted correctly and that the sending website accepts disposable email. Keep the same browser session until the task is finished. Avoid storing important accounts or confidential messages in a temporary inbox.
